Wireless earbuds that get calls, battery and fit right. Noise cancelling is mild and the case is bulky.

We wore the Halo Buds 2 on runs, in a noisy market and on 40 hours of calls. The fit is secure with three sizes of tips, and the buds did not move during a 10 km run.

Call quality is the surprise: callers said our voice was clear even on a busy road. Music sounds warm with a little extra bass, and the app has a five-band equaliser.

Noise cancelling takes the edge off a bus engine but not a crowded canteen.
